A MESSAGE FROM THE CEO

What a momentous year this has been. So much change and so much success, and we have only just scratched the surface. Your company and your board of directors and management team have done an extraordinary job steering the company through difficult market conditions.

We have come a very long way since our re-structuring 15 months ago. I am very pleased to say that we achieved our short-term goals to define and execute a new business plan and we've exceeded all volume and revenue targets for both retail and food services.

We've grown the company beyond its flavorful name and instilled a company-wide commitment to build relationships for life and make those relationships more healthful, happier and certainly more delicious.

It has been my absolute pleasure to sit as CEO of your great company. I believe that all of my professional experience leading up to this point prepared me for this role. My executive experiences in Indonesia where our organic-certified steam sterilization and packaging facility is located, my travels abroad to spice producing countries, and my business consultancy here in the United States have it seems, delivered me to this office.

The Spice Depot road was less traveled to be sure, as it generally is when the path is fraught with challenge. But the people leading your company are seasoned trailblazers with a passion for going where others have not or would not. This, I believe is our unique selling proposition.

As a company we are pioneering a new way of doing business. Of doing the right thing for our shareholders, for our employees, for our grower community, for our suppliers and for our customers.

I am humbled by my colleagues, by their personal and professional ethics and their truly incredible resumes. I look forward to each new day working with The Spice Depot team and also with you, our valued shareholder.

It will be my pleasure to maintain regular contact with you as we grow the business beyond expectations.
