Ingredients
- 1-14 oz can cooked garbanzo beans (chickpeas), drained and rinsed
- 6 garlic cloves
- ¼ cup vegetable broth or water
- 1/3 cup un-seasoned tahini (sesame) paste
- Juice and zest of 2 limes
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- Few grinds Spice Depot Sea Salt
- Few grinds Spice Depot Black Peppercorns
- ½ teaspoon Spice Depot Hot & Spicy Seasoning
Methodology
In a food processor or blender on highest setting, blend all ingredients and pulse until pureed. Use spatula to clear sides as needed.
Serve with flatbread or pita bread. For lovely warm pita chips, brush pits pockets with olive oil, slice into wedges, sprinkle with Spice Depot Sea Salt or Spice Depot Spicy Sea Salt and bake in a 350F oven for 10-15 minutes until they crisp up.
