NEW YORK BRAISED BEEF SHORT RIBS

New York Steak

You Will Need:

  • 3 lbs beef short ribs cut into 1" pieces – fat trimmed
  • 3 tablespoons WORLD'S BEST New York Steak Spice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup minced onion
  • ½ cup minced carrot
  • ½ cup minced celery
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • ½ cup red wine
  • 2 tablespoons Worchester Sauce
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Soya sauce
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 4 cups beef stock
  • 3 cups tomato juice
  • 2 teaspoons liquid smoke
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
  • 1 bay leaf

Preparation:

Rub New York Steak Spice into meat. Chill meat for 1 hour. In a large pot, heat over medium heat and add oil. Sear ribs until brown on all sides. Remove from pot. Add onion, carrots, celery and garlic and sauté until tender. Deglaze with red wine. Add remaining ingredients and bring to boil. Return ribs to pot and simmer on low heat for 1 hour until ribs are tender.

WORLD'S BEST MEATLOAF

You Will Need:

  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons ground WORLD'S BEST New York Steak Spice
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons tomato juice
  • 2 tablespoons oregano
  • 3 tablespoons basil
  • 1 tablespoon thyme
  • 2 lbs ground beef

Preparation:

Mix milk and breadcrumbs together. Add all remaining ingredients together and mix into ground beef. Press into loaf pan and bake for 1 hour @ 350F. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
