NEW YORK BRAISED BEEF SHORT RIBS
You Will Need:
- 3 lbs beef short ribs cut into 1" pieces – fat trimmed
- 3 tablespoons WORLD'S BEST™ New York Steak Spice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ cup minced onion
- ½ cup minced carrot
- ½ cup minced celery
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- ½ cup red wine
- 2 tablespoons Worchester Sauce
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons Soya sauce
- 1 cup ketchup
- 4 cups beef stock
- 3 cups tomato juice
- 2 teaspoons liquid smoke
- 2 tablespoons parsley
- 1 bay leaf
Preparation:
Rub New York Steak Spice into meat. Chill meat for 1 hour. In a large pot, heat over medium heat and add oil. Sear ribs until brown on all sides. Remove from pot. Add onion, carrots, celery and garlic and sauté until tender. Deglaze with red wine. Add remaining ingredients and bring to boil. Return ribs to pot and simmer on low heat for 1 hour until ribs are tender.
