Contest Rules And Regulations

Entry Requirements:

1. No purchase is necessary.
2. Contest is void where prohibited by law. Subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.
3. Enter as often as you like but only one entry may qualify as a winner. One winner per household.
4. Entries will not be acknowledged or returned. The Spice Depot, Inc will not be responsible for misdirected email.
5. All entries become property of The Spice Depot, Inc. Entry constitutes permission to edit, modify, publish and otherwise use the recipe in any way without compensation.
6. Entries may be completed online by filling out the Submit a Recipe form and clicking the "Submit" button. Your entry will be sent to us by e-mail. Your entry must tested by the Spice Depot kitchen tested to qualify and you must agree to let The Spice Depot, Inc. post your recipe, name and any attached photos on the website www.thespicedepot.com.

Recipe Requirements:

1. Recipes must be entered in one of the categories posted on the website www.thespicedepot.com or, meet other ingredient or sponsor criteria posted online during a specific promotional period.
2. The winning recipe must be original - that is not copied or imitated. If the recipe is derived from a previously published one, it must have at least four significant ingredients that are different and the method of preparation changed to qualify.
3. Recipes must contain at least one Spice Depot spice blend, organic herb or spice product, or other product or ingredient as described during a specific promotional period.

Eligibility:

1. Contest open to continental U.S. and Canadian residents age 18 or older.
2. Anyone identified as a previous winner, employees of The Spice Depot, Inc, its contracted or affiliated companies, contest sponsors, their agencies and families is not eligible.

Judging:

1. Recipes will be tested in our test kitchen and judged on taste, originality in use of The Spice Depot products, ease of preparation and appearance.
2. Winning recipes will be short-listed and ultimately selected by the Spice Depot staff.
3. Judges will disqualify recipes which to their knowledge are previously published recipes.
4. Judges will select only one winner per quarter. Winning recipes may be from any category.
5. Winners will be notified by e-mail or telephone. Your first name, the city and state or province you are from, and your recipe will be published on the website.

Prize Details:

The 'Cook Like a Pro' prize as advertised on the website will be awarded as follows: The contest winner will be flown coach class from and returned to the major city closest to their residence location in the Continental United States or Canada, to Vancouver, British Columbia Canada, or Las Vegas, Nevada, USA (at the discretion of The Spice Depot) and put up in a hotel (at the discretion of The Spice Depot) for two nights (meals provided). The winner will join The Spice Depot representative and/or a qualified chef in the Spice Depot test kitchen or a commercial kitchen and prepare, together with the chef, the winning recipe as submitted. Recipe preparation will be recorded by a professional video crew and edited into a 'Cook Like a Pro' segment for online broadcast on The Spice Depot website www.thespicedepot.com. The produced segment becomes the property of The Spice Depot, Inc and the winner must agree in advance to sign a usage waiver. A DVD copy of the segment will be provided to the winner.

The Spice Depot, Inc is a professional, ethical company and will make every effort to maintain conventional broadcast content standards in production and broadcast.

Prizes are nontransferable and may not be redeemed for cash. No substitution of prizes is allowed. The Spice Depot Inc reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value.
